  • No more lost 10mm bolts - parts stay where you drop them
  • Sticks to the fender, hood or tool chest - sideways and even upside down
  • Soft faux-leather face - no hard steel rim sitting on your paint
  • Flexible and only 7.5 mm thin - follows curved body panels
  • 3 sizes in the set - one for the car, the chest and the bench
How it works
Both sides of the mat are magnetic. Press it onto a clean steel surface and the back grips the panel while the top holds bolts, nuts, screws, sockets and hand wrenches. Lift it off by a corner when you are done.
Sizes and specs
Small 11.7 x 11.7 cm (4.6 x 4.6 in), 141 g. Long 32 x 10.4 cm (12.6 x 4.1 in), 365 g. Large 32 x 24.5 cm (12.6 x 9.6 in), 1.07 kg. 3-Piece Set: all three, 1.5 kg. Thickness 7.5 mm. Pebbled faux-leather face with a padded red edge.
Will it stick to my car?
Only to steel. Many newer hoods and fenders are aluminum, and the mat will not stick to aluminum, plastic or fiberglass. If a fridge magnet sticks, the mat will too.
Shipping
Ships within 1-3 business days, usually arrives in 5-11 business days in the US with tracking. Free US shipping on orders of $70+.
30-day money-back guarantee
Not happy? Return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund. No hoops.
Safety and care
Keep magnets away from phones, key fobs, bank cards and pacemakers. Wipe grit off the panel before you stick it on and lift it off instead of sliding it. Clean with a dry or slightly damp rag.

See it in action

Stick it on. Drop the bolt. Find it later.

Real garage footage, with the edge color edited to match the red mats we ship. The mats grab the steel hood and hold wrenches upside down, then peel off in a second.

Holds upside down

Wrenches stay put under the open hood.

Moves anywhere

Peel it off and stick it on any steel panel.

Grab and go

Every tool right at arm's reach.

Pointing into the engine bay where a part dropped
The 10mm problem

"Where did that bolt go?"

You set it on the fender for one second. It rolls, drops behind the engine, and a 20-minute job turns into an hour with a flashlight.

GripPad gives every bolt, nut and socket one spot that does not move - right on the car, at arm's reach.

  • No more parts rolling into the engine bay
  • No more walking back to the bench for each tool
  • No hard steel tray sitting on your paint

Why DIY guys keep it in reach

One mat, a lot less hunting

Mat bent over a curved fender holding sockets

Follows the curve of the fender

A rigid tray rocks and slides on a rounded panel. The flexible mat bends with it and lies flat, so sockets stay where you set them.

7.5 mm thin, fully flexible
Mat stuck under an open hood holding wrenches

Works sideways and upside down

Stick it under the open hood, on the side of the tool chest or on the washer panel. Wrenches and sockets hang on instead of hitting the floor.

Double-sided magnetic
Lifting the mat off a car door, paint underneath clean

Kinder to your paint than a steel tray

The face and edge are soft faux leather, not bare steel. Wipe grit off the panel first and lift the mat instead of dragging it.

No hard metal rim
Small, long and large mats on a workbench

Three sizes for every job

Small for screws, Long for a row of sockets, Large for a ratchet and wrenches. Take the 3-Piece Set and keep one on the car, one on the chest, one on the bench.

FAQ

Questions guys ask

Will it stick to my hood?
Only if the panel is steel. Many newer cars and trucks have aluminum hoods or fenders, and the mat will not stick to aluminum, plastic or fiberglass. Quick test: if a fridge magnet sticks to the panel, the mat will too.
Will it scratch my paint?
The mat has a soft faux-leather face and a padded fabric edge, with no hard metal rim. Any magnet can still trap grit, so wipe the panel and the back of the mat before you stick it on, and lift it off instead of sliding it.
How much weight will it hold?
It is made for bolts, nuts, screws, sockets, extensions and hand wrenches. It is not made for heavy parts like rotors or a heavy breaker bar hanging upside down. Holding power depends on the steel and the weight of the part, so we do not quote a pull-force number.
Which size should I get?
The Small fits a handful of screws, the Long fits a row of sockets, and the Large fits a ratchet plus wrenches. Most people take the 3-Piece Set so one can live on the car, one on the tool chest and one by the bench.
Is it safe near my phone or key fob?
Keep magnets away from phones, key fobs, bank cards and pacemakers. Do not leave the mat in a pocket next to them.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it with a dry shop rag, or a slightly damp one for oil. Metal shavings can be lifted off with tape. Let it dry before storing.
Does it work on a bike, motorcycle or boat?
On steel parts, yes. Many bike frames, motorcycle covers and boat parts are aluminum or plastic, so check with a fridge magnet first. It also works on steel tool carts, which is the easy fix.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship within 1-3 business days and usually arrive in 5-11 business days in the US, with tracking. Free US shipping on orders of $70+.
What if I don't like it?
You have 30 days from delivery to return it for a refund.
